Filming with an Aviation Legend

This month, Matthew Johnston of California Aeronautical University was to receive a vintage DC-3. The former owner of this aircraft? None other than aviation legend Clay Lacy. And Hemlock Films was there to cover the event

Clay Lacy has one of the most storied aviation careers in history, from air racing to military service, to business owner, and more. This DC-3 has a pretty good history itself; from airline work, to aircraft of a governor, and more. The new owner, Matthew Johnston vows to keep the aircraft's history alive, touring the plane to help with the outreach and education.

Hemlock Films was there to cover the ferry flight from Van Nuys to Oxnard, the DC-3's new home. More filming will commence next month, capturing the DC-3' and Clay's rich story.
