Flight of the red tail

It has been three years since the end of Red Tail Reborn. Many events have come to pass since for the Red Tail Project...of both glory and sorrow. Now, in 2009, all the waiting will come to an end. The Red Tail P-51C Mustang Tuskegee Airmen, name sake of the famed Alabama trained WWII veterans, will finally be completed. This aircraft crashed in 2004, killing pilot and project leader Don Hinz. Now, due to the love and dedication of her volunteers, she will be restored to flight worthy status. The Red Tail Project, will once again try to fly the Mustang, telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, and complete Don Hinz’s dream.
